MIAMI (AP) — Low expectations at the start of a rebuilding effort mean the Miami Dolphins have little to lose in 2019 Bob Griese Jersey , other than maybe a dozen games or so.The franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2000 is rebooting yet again with a new coach, a new quarterback and the same old slim hopes. They’re given a 300-1 chance to win the Super Bowl, by far the worst odds in the NFL.First-time coach Brian Flores faces a tricky task: While he tries to establish a winning culture, the season will be mostly about losing and how the Dolphins position themselves for next year’s draft, when they’ll likely take a quarterback in the opening round for only the second time since Dan Marino in 1983.In the meantime, here are things to know about the 2019 Dolphins:QUARTERBACKSRyan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen will likely become the 20th and 21st players to start at QB for Miami since Dan Marino retired 20 seasons ago. Fitzpatrick and Rosen battled for the starting job in training camp, and given the shaky state of the offensive line, Flores will likely need at least two quarterbacks to get through the season.Fitzpatrick acknowledged he has been beaten the odds as he prepares to throw a pass for his eighth team, which will be an NFL record, and enters his 15th pro season.“If being a quarterback was all based on height, weight, speed and arm talent Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , then I wouldn’t be in the NFL,” he said.ONE DETRACTOR ALREADYFlores’ defensive play calling helped the New England Patriots to a 13-3 Super Bowl victory over the high-scoring Los Angeles Rams, but his Miami scheme is already drawing criticism — from the mother of defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.Melissa Fitzpatrick complained on Twitter that her son is playing out of position at strong safety. He’s also playing free safety, nickel back, boundary cornerback and linebacker for Flores, who plans to mix 3-4 and 4-3 schemes and put up to six defensive backs on the field.Flores praised the versatility of Fitzpatrick, a 2018 first-round draft pick.“He’s all over the place, and that’s a good thing,” Flores said. “He’s really a joy to work with.”DEFENSIVE CORNERSTONEFlores must hope his scheme will help hide issues up front. The Dolphins allowed a franchise-record 6,257 yards last year and then lost four defensive ends in the offseason, including former Pro Bowlers Cameron Wake and Robert Quinn. The strength of the defense is a deep secondary that includes Fitzpatrick, Reshad Jones Kenny Stills Jersey , T.J. McDonald and Xavien Howard, the Dolphins’ best defender. Howard tied for the NFL lead last year with seven interceptions in only 12 games, made the Pro Bowl for the first time, and was rewarded with a $76.5 million, five-year extension, the most lucrative deal ever for a cornerback.Flores’ scheme has Howard hitting the reset button.“It’s a different system, so I’ve got to use different techniques,” he said. “It’s like I’m starting over again, like a rookie year. It’s something new, and I have to learn on the fly.”SETTLING INTO THE JOBEven before the first game, it has been an eventful start for Flores. He fired his offensive line coach less than a week into training camp, and criticized receiver Kenny Stills for going public with complaints about team owner Stephen Ross’ politics. Earlier he lost assistant head coach Jim Caldwell Reshad Jones Jersey , who took a leave of absence to address health issues.Flores said he’s ready for such challenges.“That’s the job,” he said. “Look, when you’re in a leadership position, there’s a lot on your plate. I welcome it all, to be honest. I don’t run away from any adversity or any situation, and I don’t want our players to run away from anything. I need to be an example to them.”LONG SHOTSThe Dolphins went 7-9 last year and have finished above .500 only twice since 2005. They’re well aware lots more losing is expected this season.“I love it,” left tackle Laremy Tunsil said.” I love being the underdog. We don’t need any attention. Let’s keep working on the low.”They’re likely to remain low until at least 2020. The Miami Dolphins are adding an Alabama assistant coach to their coaching staff. The Dolphins are hiring Brendan Farrell as a special teams assistant. Farrell had been a special teams quality control coach at Alabama. The move was reported by FootballScoop.com. Farrell is listed on the Dolphins coaching staff on the team’s website.Farrell previously spent time as a coach at Wayne State, Northwestern State, LSU and Middle Tennessee State before joining Saban’s staff at Alabama in 2013. Farrell played linebacker and safety at Notre Dame from 1996-99 before getting into college coaching at Wayne State in 2002.Bill Belichick and Nick Saban have a close relationship extending back to their shared time together with the Cleveland Browns. New Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was the Patriots de facto defensive coordinator last season. With the shared connection to Saban, it’s not a surprise Flores would look to Saban’s coaching staff for possibilities to build his coaching staff in Miami.

Interesting, but confusing.CDTShareTweetShareShareLos Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay continues to confuse with answers on RB Todd Gurley on Rich Eisen ShowLos Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay talks to RB Todd Gurley during pregame warmups before the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Sep. 23, 2018.Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY SportsLos Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay went on the Rich Eisen Show today and spoke about a variety of topics.Of course, one of the major lines of questioning pertained to RB Todd Gurley, the status of his knee and how much it impacted the Rams’ postseason.McVay’s responses were...confusing.Look. A lot of that simply doesn’t make sense. But it’s not necessarily new. It’s just strange to claim Todd Gurley had four carries against the Saints because the Rams “weren’t able to get the run game going much” in the same game that C.J. Anderson had 16 carries. And it’s confusing to now acknowledge that Gurley was “banged up at the end of the year” when back on February 1 John Kelly Jersey , McVay claimed Gurley was “100%.”I totally understand the impetus to try to not play up the injury throughout the playoffs. There’s a professionalism to putting your head down and doing your job even with nagging injuries that won’t prevent you from playing regardless of whether you’re the highest-paid running back in the league or if you’re the 46th guy on the 46-man gameday active roster. And I certainly appreciate the gamesmanship that goes on with not disclosing the variety of issues guys are carrying physically throughout the season that don’t get reported until we learn they had surgery in the offseason. But this was an injury that (a) clearly affected the Rams’ gameplay and (b) clearly affected Gurley’s availability. I don’t think it’s unfair to ask if either are going to continue to be the case even though the Rams opted not to bring back the guy that was so crucial to their plans that it left Gurley, as Eisen put it, standing on the sidelines holding his helmet in his hands. Instead, they decided to bring back a complement for Gurley that has never been anywhere near that crucial to their gameplans. Maybe Malcolm Brown will have a huge year. But it sure sounds like McVay’s not necessarily planning on it. And that’s just confusing if we’re taking him at his word. The Athletic’s Rich Hammond put it well in response:As a fan, I understand the adherence to the competitive nature of the story.I don’t understand why the Rams, McVay and Gurley himself opted to mislead instead of simply avoid the issue at all.Eisen also asked McVay about the improvement of QB Jared Goff:And the infamous no-call against CB Nickell Robey-Coleman in the NFC Championship:McVay and Gurley as well as Goff, DT Michael Brockers and DL Aaron Donald will all address the media on Monday around 3pm ET/12pm PT.Expect some kind of update John Franklin-Myers Jersey , one way or the other. The Cardinals’ website announcement of Kliff Kingsbury’s hiring originally came with a mention that “Kingsbury is friends with Rams coach Sean McVay.” Indeed, every team in this hiring cycle seemed to be in search of the next McVay.The Bengals appear on the verge of hiring Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor, which is as close to McVay as a team can get. The Packers hired Matt LaFleur, who was McVay’s offensive coordinator in 2017.McVay said earlier this week he was “too young,” at 32, to have a coaching tree. But it appears anyone calling himself a FOM — Friend of McVay — had a better shot at getting a head coaching opportunity this year.“I think, really Brian Allen Jersey , what it is more than anything else is, it’s a reflection of our organizational success over the last couple years,” McVay told reporters in Los Angeles on Thursday. “I think it’s certainly flattering. It’s extremely humbling to even be mentioned in that. But I know this: The reason that people are saying those types of things is because the Rams have had success. I know the Rams are having success because we’ve got great players. We’ve got a great coaching staff, and we’ve got a lot of people that are working in the same direction. I think that’s key for continuity in anything that you do. But it certainly is very flattering, and it’s a reflection of the Rams鈥?success.”

The longtime NFL head coach respects Brown as a player Mitch Morse Jersey , but thinks he needs to learn how to be a good teammate"The Oakland Raiders have made a lot of news during NFL free agency — but probably the biggest was their trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers that brought wide receiver Antonio Brown to the team in exchange for third- and fifth-round draft picks in 2019.Brown also got a new contract with the Raiders that will reportedly pay him more than $50 million over three years. The new Raiders receiver made a lot of news during his time in Pittsburgh.Brown, 30, was an All-Pro in four of his nine seasons with the Steelers, and made the Pro Bowl seven times. But feuds with other Steelers players — and his benching for missing practice time before Pittsburgh’s last game of the season — soured the team on Brown; the deal with the Raiders left $21 million in dead money on Pittsburgh’s books for the 2019 season. In an Oklahoma Drill article published on NFL.com Wednesday, former Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio spoke about Brown in less-than-glowing terms.“I love the talent, but [Antonio Brown] has clearly shown that he’s going to be a pain in the ass,” Del Rio told NFL.com’s Brooke Cersosimo. “He’s a very talented guy and I would love to have him. I would work with him no problem. If [players] have talent, you tend to tolerate it a little bit unless it becomes disruptive to your team. He’s going to have to learn that to really help the team.“If he continues doing the things he’s been doing — just like he upset the Steelers — he’s going to upset the next team he’s on,” continued Del Rio, who was fired as Raiders coach after the 2017 season. “There are certain things — I mean, this is America and he’s free to do what he wants — but those aren’t the things that are indicative of a good teammate. The working hard and being a good player definitely helps the team, which is why he’ll continue to get chances to be special until his skills deteriorate. That’s when people will get tired of him.”But Del Rio was also willing to concede differences of opinion.“Every team makes their own decision and [the Raiders] have every right to do what they feel is best for the team,” he said about last season’s trade of Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears. “My only point is when you have a player of that quality on and off the field — I mean, I could really lay my head down at night and sleep peacefully knowing Khalil Mack was never going to be in trouble. He’s a prince of a man. He’s a great human being, a great teammate, a really hard worker and a really Chris Jones Jersey , really great player. To me, you collect those guys.” KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have made a habit of inciting controversy during the NFL draft in the Andy Reid era by acquiring players that have a history of off-the-field issues. This year, they didn’t even wait until the draft. The Chiefs swung a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday to acquire pass rusher Frank Clark for a package of picks, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press. The two sides then reached an agreement on a $105.5 million, five-year contract that was contingent on Clark passing a physical, which was expected to be completed Wednesday. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal, which sent the Chiefs’ first-round pick this year and a second-rounder next year to Seattle, had not become official. That didn’t stop fans, talk-radio hosts and people from just about every walk of life in Kansas City from debating the merits of bringing in yet another player with baggage. The team took a chance on cornerback Marcus Peters, who was traded away after getting into trouble with coaches. It drafted running back Kareem Hunt, then quickly cut him when he kicked a woman in a hotel hallway. And it picked wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was dealing with his own domestic violence case that centered on the 3-year-old child he shares with his fiance. While Clark has stayed out of trouble during four years in the NFL, he was kicked off the team at Michigan when he was charged with first-degree domestic violence and assault following an incident with his then-girlfriend. The charges were later reduced to fourth-degree persistent disorderly conduct and Clark completed a domestic violence course and paid court costs and fines. One organization that called the trade “disconcerting” was the Rose Brooks Center, which has been providing a safe haven for victims of domestic violence for 40 years.“Organizations and other systems have a community responsibility to hold offenders accountable, just as Rose Brooks Center does Tanoh Kpassagnon Jersey , in order to end the epidemic of domestic violence,” the center said in a statement. “When we do not hold offenders accountable, it sends a message of acceptance not only to the offender, but to the victim, reducing the likelihood that a victim will come forward.”The Chiefs have not commented on the trade because it has yet to become official, though the team did tweet video from the locker room of a No. 55 jersey with Clark’s name on it.His arrival continues a trend of the Chiefs giving players with questionable off-the-field histories a second chance, with mixed results.Peters, who was kicked off his team at Washington for fighting with his coach, quickly became one of the league’ best cornerbacks. But increasingly erratic conduct reached a tipping point when Peters got into an altercation with then-defensive coordinator Bob Sutton following a game.Peters ultimately was shipped to the Rams last offseason for second- and fourth-round draft picks. In 2016, the Chiefs used a fifth-round pick on Hill, who was kicked off the team at Oklahoma State after punching his pregnant girlfriend and transferred to tiny West Alabama. His elite speed and game-breaking ability made him one of the league’s biggest stars on the field, but off the field many fans were dismayed at the pick — some even gave up season tickets or swore off the team altogether.Hill completed a series of steps to have the original domestic violence charges expunged, and he had stayed out of trouble until last month when police were called to his home twice in a span of nine days to investigate a report of child abuse and battery of a juvenile. On Wednesday, the Johnson County district attorney declined to press charges in the case because he could not determine whether it was Hill or his fiance, Crystal Espinal, that injured the child.“We believe a crime has occurred Armani Watts Jersey ,” district attorney Steve Howe said. “We’ve asked the police to do quite a bit of follow-up work. They’ve completed their investigation and we’re at an impasse at this point and any further investigation would be unwarranted.”The Chiefs have declined to discuss Hill even as they began offseason workouts, and coach Andy Reid merely said “he is here” when asked about his talented wide receiver last week.General manager Brett Veach also declined to discuss the case.“I think it’s going to work itself out here,” he said, “and we’ll deal with the information as it comes. Like I said, there’s nothing I’d probably be in a position to say right now on that.”The Chiefs have been quick in addressing domestic violence in at least one case. After choosing Hunt despite a history of issues in college, and watching him lead the league in rushing as a rookie, they wasted no time in cutting him once video surfaced of an incident in an Ohio hotel hallway. Hunt was seen pushing and kicking a woman while she was on the ground.“Our scouting staff does a really good job of vetting players and part of that analysis is their character,” Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said at the time. “Obviously, it’s very hard to learn everything about somebody. Sometimes you have somebody who in college didn’t have any incidents, then they get to the pro level and with the fame and fortune that comes with the position, they do something you don’t expect. We’re certainly going to try to get better, but I don’t think you can ever be perfect.”It’s unclear what kind of due diligence the Chiefs did when it came to Clark, though two people familiar with his signing said the background work done was extensive. What they heard was enough to make the Chiefs comfortable not only with bringing him aboard, but also making Clark one of the highest-paid pass rushers in the NFL.

Somewhere http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-malcolm-mitchell-jersey , that courtroom sketch of Tom Brady resides in an attic, growing craggier and nastier and wrinklier every day.Tom Brady the human turns 42 today, and he continues to exhibit all the traits of a man who could play quarterback in the NFL as long as he wants to play quarterback in the NFL.This time it feels a little different, however. In the 2018 #HappyBirthdayTommy post, it was noted that some think he’s one more Super Bowl win away from retiring Dwayne Allen Jersey , or that he’d pack it in after two more seasons. The former was clearly erroneous; the latter still has a chance of happening, especially if Brady finagles Lombardi Trophy No. 7.Regardless, he’s moving closer and closer to his expiration date (as we all are). At some point between 42 and 50, Brady presumably won’t be able to keep doing it at the level he’s been doing it. At some point, he’ll end what has become a two-decade chapter of his life and do something else. At some point Womens Vincent Valentine Jersey , the Patriots’ constant fear that the end for Brady will come quickly and they won’t be prepared to continue to thrive without him may result in the Patriots making those preparations in a very clear and concrete way, forcing him to retire or to continue his career elsewhere.Whenever and however the end for Brady plays out, astute observers advise watching his legs not his arm. Although never much of a straight-line runner, Brady has the ability to move away from pressure quickly and adroitly, stepping and sliding and effortlessly gliding as needed to avoid taking a big hit http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-danny-shelton-jersey , all the while keeping his eyes in the direction of his receivers. In plenty of cases, his ability to recognize who will be open before the play is even snapped allows him to get rid of the ball before he even has to worry about stepping, sliding, and/or effortlessly gliding.Still, that can’t and won’t continue forever. Some joke that the sixth-round pick turned all-time great superstar did a -style deal with the devil; even if he did Derek Rivers Jersey , the front end of the transaction can’t last as long as the back end.Even if it nevertheless feels that way. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Prosecutors haven’t yet seen videos police say show New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and other men engaging in sex acts and handing over cash in a Florida spa.Lawyers for some of the men have filed court motions to keep the videos from being made public, arguing their clients were recorded without their consent. In a SunSentinel report , Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office spokesman Michael Edmondson said each police department decides how to handle such footage before a case goes to trial.Edmondson says the Jupiter Police Department hasn’t given prosecutors the videos investigators say include Kraft.Kraft was among hundreds of men charged in a crackdown on massage parlor prostitution and an investigation into human trafficking at Florida spas. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.

Upon further review Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , a New Jersey man will get his full $82,000 payout on a disputed $110 sports bet.And several other gamblers who made similar bets at wildly inflated odds will also be paid in full, FanDuel said Thursday. The online sports betting company said it will pay Anthony Prince of Newark the full 750-1 payout he was promised when the company's automated system mistakenly generated long odds on the final moments of the Denver Broncos-Oakland Raiders game on Sunday. The company initially refused to pay the bet placed at its sports book at the Meadowlands Racetrack, saying it isn't obligated to pay for obvious errors. But FanDuel reversed field after consulting with state gambling regulators."Above all else, sports betting is supposed to be fun," the company said in a statement Thursday. "As a result of a pricing error this weekend, it wasn't for some of our customers."Prince was handed his 750-1 ticket with about a minute left in the game, as the Broncos trailed by 2 points on their final drive. Denver kicked a field goal with 6 seconds left to win 20-19, capping a second half comeback that started with the Broncos down 12-0.FanDuel says its system should have calculated his odds at 1-6, meaning a bettor would have to wager $600 in order to win $100. The company said a 36-yard field goal itself has an 85 percent chance of success."These kinds of issues are rare, but they do happen," the company said. "So, this one's on the house. We are paying out these erroneous tickets and wish the lucky customers well."Prince could not immediately be reached for comment.Kerry Langan, a spokeswoman for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, said the agency "is encouraged by FanDuel's actions today. The division will continue to work with FanDuel and the state's other licensed sports wagering operators to ensure the implementation of industry-wide best practices."Kip Levin, FanDuel's chief operating officer, said the company wants "to use this as a learning experience for our new customers about how sports betting works."All told, 12 customers Antonio Brown Jersey White , including Prince, were given incorrect odds during an 18-second computer glitch. Levin would not say how much in total the company is paying, but said the promised payouts printed on the tickets or made online will be honored. The dispute is one of the earliest for the budding sports betting industry in New Jersey, coming at a time when new sports books are opening in some other states and lawmakers throughout the country consider whether to also jump in for the potential tax revenue. New Jersey challenged a federal ban and won a U.S. Supreme Court decision in May that cleared the way for gambling on games to expand beyond Nevada. The idea that player money and winnings would be protected and regulated by the state has been a major selling point among sports betting supporters who contrasted legal gambling with shady offshore betting sites where players often have little recourse in disputes. But gambling regulators also have policies in place to void obvious errors in sports bets.FanDuel also says it will give away another $82,000 this weekend by adding $1,000 apiece to the accounts of 82 randomly chosen customers._Follow Wayne Parry at ://WayneParryAC ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Supreme Court has ruled that a lawsuit filed over the Rams‘ departure from St. Louis will be heard in a St. Louis courtroom, a defeat for the NFL team’s owner who sought to send the case to arbitration. The court issued its ruling Tuesday in a lawsuit filed by St. Louis city and county and the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority, which owns the domed stadium where the Rams formerly played. It named Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who moved the team to Los Angeles for the 2016 season, the NFL and league owners. It wasn’t immediately clear if an appeal was planned. Messages left Wednesday with the Rams, Kroenke’s attorney and the NFL were not immediately returned. The lawsuit alleged that the Rams’ departure violated a 1984 league guideline that was established after the Raiders moved from Oakland to Los Angeles. The league, the Rams and Kroenke have argued that the disagreements should be settled behind closed doors in arbitration. The suit seeks financial damages, but a win for the city, county and dome authority would not return the team to St. Louis. The Rams’ departure left a bitter taste in St. Louis, which lost an NFL team for the second time in 30 years — the Cardinals moved to Arizona in 1987.Last month, a judge gave preliminary approval to the settlement of a separate suit filed on behalf of fans who bought St. Louis Rams tickets and team merchandise. The settlement could be worth up to $25 million. The lawsuit claimed fans would not have purchased the tickets and goods if they knew about the impending move. The Rams scored a victory in yet another suit. An April ruling determined that an option in the lease for the now-vacant training facility in St. Louis County gives the Rams the option to buy it for just $1. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the facility is worth at least $12.7 million.

Andrew Luck was at his best when it mattered most for the Indianapolis Colts.Including some fancy footwork at a big moment. After throwing three TD passes Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , Luck calmly stepped through Miami‘s pass rush and found Chester Rogers for a 34-yard gain that helped set up Adam Vinatieri‘s 32-yard field goal as time expired in the Colts’ improbable 27-24 victory over the Dolphins on Sunday.“There’s a moment there where you’re thinking ‘Don’t go down, stay up, give our guys a chance,'” Luck said. “I’m glad it worked out.”For most of Indianapolis’ fifth straight win, Luck & Co. struggled. He was picked off twice in a 17-second span at the end of the first half. The Colts also lost a fumble. They had a punt partially blocked and Vinatieri came up well short on a makeable field goal — though it appeared the Dolphins (5-6) might have deflected the kick. Then, with the Colts trailing 24-14 early in the fourth, Luck found a way to rally his teammates. He overcame two offensive penalties to set up Vinatieri’s 46-yard field goal with 8:26 left. He fired a perfect 12-yard strike to Eric Ebron, tying it at 24 with 4:25 remaining. And after the Colts’ defense forced a second straight three-and-out, Luck took over on his own 42 and kept his balance just long enough on third-and-9 to connect with Rogers.“I didn’t think that Kenny Stills Jersey ,” coach Frank Reich said when asked if he thought Luck might fall down. “I saw him stepping up and I’m so accustomed to him finding a way to make a play. I wasn’t anticipating him finding someone for a 30- or 40-yard gain, but what a play.”Four plays later, Vinatieri trotted onto the field and made the 28th game-winning kick of his career. The resurgent Luck finished 30 of 37 for 343 yards. He has thrown at least three TD passes in eight consecutive games, tying Peyton Manning for the second-longest streak in NFL history.Luck also had his first career reception , a 4-yard catch for a fourth-down conversion that eventually led to a 1-yard TD pass to Jack Doyle late in the first half. It’s the longest win streak for Indianapolis (6-5) since it also won five in a row in the first half of the 2014 season. The Dolphins, meanwhile, have lost 10 of their last 11 road games — perhaps none more frustrating than this game.Ryan Tannehill returned after missing five games with a shoulder injury and played well from the start. His 33-yard TD pass to Kenyan Drake on the opening possession ended the team’s nine-quarter streak without a touchdown and his 74-yard TD pass to Leonte Carroo tied it at 14 late in the first half. Jason Sanders kicked a 29-yard field goal early in the third quarter and Drake’s nifty 14-yard run with 13:36 remaining gave the Dolphins a 24-14 lead. With Luck working his magic, it didn’t last. DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — With Ryan Tannehill throwing again, Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase is not about to give up on the season.Tannehill has taken an encouraging step in his recovery from a shoulder injury. It’s undetermined whether he’ll play this week against the New York Jets , but Gase believes the best is yet to come for the Dolphins (4-4), even though they’ve lost three of their past four games.“Now it’s about who wins the second half of the season,” Gase said Monday.Because he believes the Dolphins remain in the playoff mix, Gase said it’s “highly unlikely” they’ll be sellers at this week’s NFL trade deadline. There has been speculation they’re shopping DeVante Parker, but Gase said he expects the injury-prone receiver to remain with Miami. As for Tannehill, progress is coming slowly. He has missed the past three games Michael Deiter Miami Dolphins Jerseys , including Thursday’s 42-23 loss at Houston.“He’s making steps where he’s in a position where he can throw a football,” Gase said. “We’re gaining strength in that area. We’ll see more the next two days, when he does get a chance to throw, how sore he is the next day or how much power he feels like he has.”Tannehill is expected to take part in the Dolphins’ next practice Wednesday but may be limited, as was the case last week. If Tannehill is ruled out against the Jets, Brock Osweiler will make his fourth consecutive start.Tannehill has a reputation for playing through pain, and Gase acknowledged a concern his quarterback won’t be candid about how his shoulder feels.“I told him, ‘You have to be honest with me,'” Gase said.” He understands if he gives me wrong information Miami Dolphins Jerseys 2019 , that can make it worse. It’s killing him, because he wants to do anything he can to help us. But at the same time we have to be smart. I don’t want this to turn into, we try one week and get a huge setback, and it’s worse than it was before.”The Dolphins have lost their past two games with Osweiler starting, but defense was the primary culprit.“We’ve got some things to fix,” Gase said. “It hasn’t really gone as we thought. We’ve got to make sure we get a lot of things corrected, make some adjustments, make sure we have the right guys on the field.”A long weekend off gave the injury-plagued Dolphins time to mend. Along with Tannehill, receiver Kenny Stills (groin) Michael Deiter Jersey Cheap , tight end A.J. Derby (foot) and defensive end Charles Harris (calf) might return this week.“I like where we’re at right now,” Gase said. “I like this group. I’d like to stay healthy from here on out — I don’t think we have much more room for losing guys for the year. I think we’ve maxed out on that. But for the most part, I feel we have the right guys.”

There were reports when Rams running back Todd Gurley‘s knee troubles surfaced last year that he was dealing with an arthritic element to the problem and Gurley’s trainer appeared to confirm that in June.Travelle Gaines said that “everybody knew when Todd came out of Georgia that there would be some kind of arthritic component to his knee” after he suffered an injury while in college. Gaines added that “all we’re doing is managing that” through his workouts and his weight Robert Woods Jersey , but Gurley was less willing to discuss the issue during an interview with Trysta Krick of .Krick referenced Gaines’s comments in a series of questions about whether Gurley was dealing with arthritis and the running back closed the exchange by saying he doesn’t “know what you’re talking about.” He went on to say that he isn’t focused on the discussion about his condition.“I don’t pay attention to anything,” Gurley said. “I mind my business, do what I do, work out. Like I said Brandon Allen Jersey , I’ve been playing this sport all my life so I’ve heard everything, I’ve seen everything, I’ve done everything.”The condition of Gurley’s knee has been an ongoing storyline since late in the 2018 season. It’s unlikely to go away unless and until Gurley shows that he can perform at a high level while staying on the field this year. Gurley believes he can, but others are likely to need more evidence before coming to a final conclusion. The days preceding the start of an NFL regular season often entail a stream of news reports regarding contract extensions finalized before the real games start. In L.A. Sam Shields Jersey , that’s not likely to be happening.Asked Monday by reporters whether progress has been made on contracts for quarterback Jared Goff or cornerback Marcus Peters, Rams coach Sean McVay made it clear that nothing is going on.“I think right now we’ve been so busy just kind of handling training camp, things like that,” McVay said. “Those are two very important players to us as we move forward this season. That’s kind of where we’re at right now with that.”Goff is signed through 2020 Aqib Talib Jersey , thanks to the fifth-year option that applies to his rookie deal. Peters, who was acquired via trade in 2018, is in the final year of his rookie contract.Of course, Rams COO Kevin Demoff had said in June that a new deal for McVay wasn’t a priority Marcus Peters Jersey , and then McVay had a new deal the following month. So maybe McVay’s comments about Goff and Peters actually mean that, within the next few weeks both Goff and Peters will be getting new deals.

The Big 12 conference has come to the NFL.Without a doubt Darwin Thompson Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , the Monday-night scoring extravaganza between the Rams and Chiefs was entertaining. It had more spectacular plays and head-spinning twists than a game of Madden or a matchup of teams from college football’s defense-challenged conference. As for it being a pro football classic, no way.And for those yearning to see a rematch in the Super Bowl, don’t count on it — unless each team finds a consistent defense.Yeah, we know, there were several big defensive plays that produced points in Los Angeles’ 54-51 victory, the highest-scoring Monday night contest ever and the only time two teams have each exceeded 50 points in the same game. Aaron Donald might have cemented a second straight NFL Defensive Player of the Year award with his strip-sacks of Patrick Mahomes. There were three picks, though two came when Mahomes was in desperation mode. There were four lost fumbles as each defensive line made its present felt — for a few seconds. The box score looks as long as one of Andy Reid’s play sheets. What America saw was Madden 19 at its most frenetic. And that’s exactly what much of the current sporting public covets. Give them receivers running free like deer in a meadow ; light shows of points on the scoreboard; announcers fawning over the action while ignoring the quality of performance; and offensive records galore. This was a home run derby with major league sluggers in a Little League park. It was a hockey shootout with NHL skaters facing amateur goalies. A dunk contest on 9-foot rims.Fantastic fun? For sure. But it can also be seen as an indictment of how the NFL — helped along by college football’s evolution — has headed toward flag football. How did we get to a point where the third-highest scoring game in NFL history Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys 2019 , chock full of flying flags (21 accepted penalties for 195 yards), terrible coverage and some overzealous coaching is labeled a masterpiece?“A couple of things are contributing,” says Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, now an analyst for NBC. “The skills of the players on offense and the way the coaches are designing things is one. And the practice schedule that has been reduced really favors the offense now.“You can’t do as much work in the offseason and at training camp, and that hurts the defenses. Quarterbacks take their groups and they can get together and throw and work on their timing for two or three weeks. Defenses can’t do that, so they are behind the eight ball from the outset.”And the rules and officials have evolved to favor receivers and quarterbacks. It comes to fruition weekly. Consider that the NFL has had the most points scored (7,791) Darwin Thompson Jersey nfl draft , most touchdowns (895) and most touchdown passes (570) through 11 weeks in its history. The 54-51 frenzy is the punctuation mark.At least so far.Dungy and his NBC studio partner, former safety Rodney Harrison, bemoan the lack of fundamentals on defense. We saw as many examples of that on Monday night as we did tight spirals from Mahomes and Rams quarterback Jared Goff.“A lot of coaches in general go over scheme so much and designing things and how you play your responsibility and all the things offensive teams can do,” Dungy says. “We have lost sight of the basics, you see the poor fundamentals.”Adds Harrison, one of the best tacklers and cover guys at his position:“One thing I have learned weekly and has become a lot more prevalent because of all the emphasis on the changing of the rules is that they don’t teach a lot of technique in college anymore. It’s all about a scheme and all these different formations and you try to trick people and do all this misdirection. Coaches spend so much time on plays they forget about teaching technique.“Cornerback don’t have technique, they panic when they are down the field. The ball is in the air Replica Darwin Thompson Jersey , they don’t look back, can’t make a play.”It was something we saw plenty of Monday night. Of course, receivers such as Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods can make any defenders look bad. But when skill players are uncovered so often, it makes you wonder if the offense is on a power play.“As old school guys, we appreciate and we respect defense,” Harrison adds. “I said something (Sunday) night: If I was a general manager Stitched Darwin Thompson Jersey , I would never hire a defensive-minded coach as a head coach. The league is about scoring points and developing young quarterbacks; see Andy Reid and the Chiefs, Sean McVay and the Rams, Matt Nagy and the Bears. You have these coordinators that have a very creative mind for offense. But look at their defenses, they don’t have great defenses.“The league has really changed.”54-51 bears witness to that. FOXBOROUGH Authentic Yodny Cajuste Jersey , Mass. (AP) — Tom Brady’s 40th birthday prior to the 2017 season was supposed to mark the start of decline for the NFL’s most-decorated quarterback.Instead, it ended with Brady becoming the oldest MVP in league history and coming eight points short of taking the Philadelphia Eagles to overtime in a Super Bowl thriller. The following season the Patriots started 2-2 and whispers again arose about Father Time creeping up on him.Season’s result? Brady and the Patriots hoisting the franchise’s sixth Lombardi Trophy. Now 42 as he enters his 20th season, Brady is still here and maintains playing until 45 is still his goal.“I got a great opportunity to prove to a lot of people that didn’t think I could do it. Hopefully, I can,” Brady said. “Well done is better than well said.”In short, it might be time to stop ascribing traditional models to Brady’s ability to lead teams to the Super Bowl — no matter his age.But the Patriots do enter the 2019 season facing some legitimate questions that must be answered if they are going to get there for a fourth straight season, or become the first repeat champion since they did so to conclude the 2004 season. It begins with the absence of tight end Rob Gronkowski, who retired in the offseason. A stalwart since arriving in New England in 2010, Gronk quickly grew into Brady’s most-trusted target in the passing game. They connected on 78 touchdown passes. It is the second-highest scoring connection between a quarterback and a tight end in NFL history.“To replace great players, it’s not like you just pick another one off the tight end tree. You can’t just go out back,” Brady said of Gronk. “You’ve got to find guys that come in and want to put the work in and want to try and contribute.”The Patriots signed Ben Watson in the offseason, but he’ll begin the season serving a four-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. The same is true about a receiving corps that returns Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman.Josh Gordon was also conditionally reinstated following his latest suspension for violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. But there are no guarantees Gordon can help the team given his history of suspensions. That means they’ll have to bank on production from some young new additions. As for the defense, the Patriots did their best to address the free agency loss of edge rusher Trey Flowers. They added veteran Michael Bennett and have been pleasantly pleased with rookie edge Chase Winovich. The veteran secondary remains intact from last season. And without a named defensive coordinator, coach Bill Belichick has vowed to take on play calling.“I was excited to work with Belichick and the rest of the guys on defense Yodny Cajuste Jersey Boys ,” Bennett said. “Obviously, they’ve got a great pedigree, all of the great defensive linemen that have been here before me, so it’s just a lot. . The opportunity to play a lot of different fronts and do a lot of different things with a lot of these young guys is fun.”FAVORABLE SCHEDULEAs the Patriots fine tune things, they’ll have the benefit of a back-loaded schedule. Their toughest matchups on paper before reaching their Week 10 bye are the season opener against Pittsburgh (Sept. 8) and an Oct. 27 matchup with an upgraded Browns team. Things will get tougher in the second half with consecutive matchups against Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston and Kansas City. But they close against Cincinnati, Buffalo and Miami, putting 11 wins more than in reach.NEW PUNTERBelichick hasn’t been shy about mixing things up on special teams. He will do it again this season. The Patriots cut longtime punter Ryan Allen, who booted them to three Super Bowl victories in six seasons. Enter Jake Bailey, a fifth-round draft choice in April, who proved to be just as skillful as Allen during the preseason, launching a 54-yarder against Tennessee.PROTECTING BRADY’S BLIND SIDETrent Brown allowed only 3 ½ sacks last season and was called for only five penalties in 16 starts. He wasn’t called for a single penalty and didn’t allow a sack in the playoffs. Then he left in free agency, signing a four-year Youth Tom Brady Jerseys , $66 million deal with the Raiders. It left a huge void at left tackle. Brady’s new blind side protector will be Isaiah Wynn. The 23rd overall pick in the 2018 draft, he had his rookie season cut short during a preseason game when he tore an Achilles tendon. He’s poised to prove that was a mere bump in his young career.“I Just try to use every day to grow,” Wynn said. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady reportedly wasn’t a fan of the decision to release receiver Antonio Brown. On Wednesday, Brady admitted that he regrets the departure of tight end Ben Watson.“You know, pretty tough,” Brady told repoters regarding the news that the team declined to add Watson to the roster at the conclusion of his exemption. “Pretty tough. I mean, it’s tough for a lot of guys. I’ve played with a lot of guys over the years. You know, Ben’s a great player. He’s been a great player for this team, for other teams, he’s had an incredible career and hopefully he can keep playing. I know he was looking forward to playing. I miss him. He was right next to me, and for as great as a player he was, he was 10 times a better person, just the highest integrity. I can’t say enough good things about Ben, what he’s meant to me Tom Brady Jerseys Stitched , my family, our team. So we’re going to miss him.”Coach Bill Belichick explained that the team simply didn’t have a spot for Watson, who was suspended the first four games of the regular season for violating the PED policy during his short-lived retirement. So is Brady more comfortable with the two tight ends on the roster, Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse, handling the position?“I’m the quarterback, so I don’t make those decisions,” Brady said. “Whoever’s out there, that’s who I’ve got to play with.”That response could be interpreted in various ways, especially by Izzo and LaCosse. It also invites speculation that, in time, Brady may indeed make a personal plea to Rob Gronkowski to return from retirement. As PFT reported in July, that would be a major factor in Gronk’s consideration regarding a potential return.

The Oakland Raiders fired general manager Reggie McKenzie on Monday, less than two years after he was named the NFL’s executive of the year.A person familiar with the move says McKenzie was let go from the position he had held for almost seven seasons a day after Oakland beat Pittsburgh 24-21 for its third win of the season. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not made an announcement. The NFL Network first reported the firing.McKenzie’s status was in doubt ever since coach Jon Gruden was given a 10-year contract last January to take charge of the football operation for the Raiders. McKenzie’s influence had waned since then, with the Raiders cutting ties with several of the players he had acquired, most notably edge rusher Khalil Mack and receiver Amari Cooper.McKenzie was the first major hire made by owner Mark Davis after he took over the team following the death of his father, Al, in 2011. McKenzie modernized the franchise, got the team out of salary cap purgatory, and built a roster that won 12 games under coach Jack Del Rio in 2016, earning him honors as the league’s top executive. But the Raiders slumped to a 6-10 record last season Antonio Brown Jersey White , leading Davis to fire Del Rio and get Gruden to take the hefty contract after years of courting.Gruden set out to overhaul the roster, trading away and cutting many of McKenzie’s former draft picks. That accelerated a week before the start of the season when Mack was dealt to Chicago for a package including two first-round picks and then Cooper was dealt in October to Dallas for another first-round pick. With those deals, only nine players drafted by McKenzie from 2012-17 remain on the active roster.Despite all that, McKenzie downplayed any rift in the relationship that dated back to the 1990s when both worked together in Green Bay.“Gruden and I, we work together very well,” McKenzie said after the Cooper trade. “Let’s get no mistakes about him pushing me out. That’s not happening. Me not being able to work with Gruden? That’s furthest from the truth. OK?”The highlight of McKenzie’s tenure came in the 2014 draft, when he put together the nucleus of Oakland’s only playoff team since going to the Super Bowl following the 2002 campaign. He drafted Mack fourth overall and watched him develop into the 2016 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, got quarterback Derek Carr in the second round to end the more than decade-long revolving door at the position, and added several other key players, including guard Gabe Jackson and defensive tackle Justin Ellis later in the draft. Those players, teamed with an offensive line fortified by free agent signings center Rodney Hudson, guard Kelechi Osemele and tackle Donald Penn, made the Raiders a contender in 2016 before Carr broke his leg in a Week 16 win over Indianapolis. Oakland lost the division the following week and was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs against Houston.Carr was given a $125 million, five-year extension the following summer but the team regressed and the inability to get a long-term deal done with Mack led to a holdout this past summer and his eventual trade. The Raiders struggled this year in Gruden’s first year back on the sideline since being fired by Tampa Bay following the 2008 season. Oakland started the season 1-8 before winning two of the past four games. The Raiders (3-10) are tied with San Francisco and Arizona for the worst record in the league. With a likely top 10 pick of their own and two other first-rounders this year, along with two first-round picks next year, Gruden likely wanted his own people in place in the personnel departments to make those moves.

Lions vs. Browns stock report: Beaten badly by Browns backups When the Lions were booed off the field at a 25-0 halftime Marvin Jones Jr Jersey White , many of you probably turned off your televisions or switched to a college game. We here at Pride of Detroit, we go the extra mile. We watched the entire game, so you didn’t have to. We don’t do it for praise, we’re just that dedicated to giving you the best Lions coverage and...are you still reading this? Maybe you did watch the whole game. Anyway, here’s the final preseason stock report, now keep in mind that this is all in the context of the 4th preseason game, many of these guys will still be out of a job in a few days even if they played well. Stock Up: DeShawn Shead, CBNevin Lawson and Darius Slay took turns against the Buccaneers trying to look as bad as they could. DeShawn Shead hasn’t been playing much due to an unknown injury, but now that he’s back in the lineup there’s renewed hope they won’t stink up the football field in the secondary. Shead looked comfortable and aggressive both in coverage and against the run, traits this team is going to need with that front 7. Stock Down: Anthony Zettel, DEAnthony Zettel seemed to play every single snap in the first half of the fourth preseason. At first, we were left questioning why, as this often means a roster spot is in jeopardy. Then the run plays started and we were reminded of why. Zettel is absolutely dreadful setting the edge, the Lions run defense banjaxed every time a running back ends up in Zettel’s vicinity. It’s not very likely he’s on the chopping block, but while we were thinking Abdullah was going to be showcased for trade it may have been Zettel. A showcase he’d probably like back. Stock Up: Eli Harold, LBEli Harold was brought in to add a run defense element the team lacked on the edge, and we waited in anticipation to see a linebacker shed a block to make a tackle. Sure enough, Harold did just that, showing that he can be the edge setter we haven’t seen from other Lions defenders. His pass rush wasn’t as impressive, but for what he was brought in to do, he did well, and should have locked in his roster spot.Stock Down: Jonathan Freeney, LBI had imagined Freeney a lock for the roster with how the team has been using him this preseason, though not very high on the depth chart. Freeney did everything in his power against the Browns to make his case for another team’s roster, with penalties, terrible coverage, and poor run angles. He was the worst linebacker on the field for either team, and it may be an instance of playing yourself off a roster rather than playing your way on.Stock Up: Mike Ford, CBIn one of the sloppiest, poorly played games in quite a while, it seemed like nobody was really fighting for their job. Mike Ford, on the other hand, was working his tail off trying to show he’s worth a roster spot. Both in coverage and as a tackler, Ford was flashing later in the game. He’s a long shot to make the roster due to the depth at the position http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-ricky-wagner-jersey , but he’s not going to be an easy cut and stash, either. Stock Down: Brandon Powell, WRAfter an impressive preseason, Powell looked like he may be closing in on a roster spot. Leading the team in receiving and showing impressive return skills, a strong showing may have made the decision tough for Bob Quinn even with a limited role on the team for game days. As it is, Powell was done no favors by Jake Rudock, but failed to establish himself even when other receivers started showing out. His lack of speed showed up on a few returns as well, and his previous spark seems to have fizzled badly in the final presason contest.Quick HitsStock UpAmeer Abdullah, RB - Abdullah didn’t play in this one, which is as sure a sign as any that he’s either already on the roster or a trade partner is already found. Jace Billingsley, WR - Billingsley has been supplanted for the most part in Detroit, but he flashed at times in this one enough to put other teams on notice.Freddie Bishop, LB - Bishop has tapered off in play since he first burst on the scene here, but it was a good ending to his time in Detroit if he doesn’t make the roster.Tyrell Crosby, OT - Crosby was the only ‘starting’ offensive lineman that consistently looked good, and is likely entering the season the top reserve for the team.Josh Fatu, NT - It may have taken three and a half full preseason games to finally show up, but Fatu finally made a play that may help his practice squad chances.Dontez Ford, WR - Ford often struggles to separate and isn’t an explosive athlete, but he’s very tough to take down when he gets the ball and he flashed in this one.Cam Johnson, LB - Johnson hasn’t looked good this preseason, but he wasn’t terrible in this one. Sadly for fans, that may be enough to make the roster. Good for Johnson, though.Marcus Lucas, TE - Lucas was a no show for most of the game but had a boss of a block on the late Jake Rudock run near the end zone. Dwayne Washington, RB - Having barely played this preseason, and even then as the final RB on the roster, Washington is out of here. But he did well auditioning for another squad.Stock DownAlex Barrett, LB/DE - Barrett has slowly lost ground every time the team saw action, and playing late in the 4th preseason game that trend continued.Trevor Bates, LB - Bates was a long shot to make the roster, but missing plays in the run game like he did in this one are not how you make your case.Wesley Johnson, IOL - Johnson has been one of the worst offensive linemen this preseason and this kind of game is not a way to make up that lost ground.Chris Jones, CB - Jones had an outside chance to make this roster Will Harris Detroit Lions Jersey , but his performance against the Browns all but ensured his spot is probably on the practice squad.Leo Koloamatangi, OC - Koloamatangi has had a good preseason, but this was not a good way to end it. Like badly missing the final note of an opera, it’s all you’ll remember.Brian Mihalik, OT - If there were ever any doubt that Mihalik wasn’t making the roster, he dispelled those doubts in this one. Rolan Milligan, SS - Was bad. Then got hurt.Sterling Moore, CB - Moore didn’t get much work that I saw until late in the game. That’s not how you use guys you’re evaluating for actual work, even though he had a nice pass breakup in the 3rd quarter.Teo Redding, WR - Redding got some play as a returner and did poorly. He’s likely headed to the practice squad, in part due to plays like his leaping grab through defensive pass interference late in the game. Get him a QB who can throw.Christian Ringo, DT - Ringo has been moved around a bit while the Lions tried to find a good fit for him. That fit is likely somewhere else. A’Shawn Robinson, DT - Playing into the 4th preseason as a former starter is a bad sign. Failing to play well against that kind of competition as a former starter is damning.Jake Rudock, QB - Rudock was already pretty well edged out as the QB2 in Detroit, but getting benched in the 4th preseason game is a whole new level of bad. He had a bit of a late game surge, but it was too little, too late.Teez Tabor, CB - Tabor playing into the 4th preseason game wasn’t surprising, as he needed it. Playing as inconsistently as he did is a bad sign for his usage in 2018.Zach Zenner, RB - Wasn’t good, then got hurt and had to leave. SummaryWell, it was a pretty gross game overall. Normally in the last preseason game we get to see guys playing for their spots the following season as much as trying to find a spot on the current roster, but almost nobody in this one looks like they want to be on an NFL roster. But hey, maybe I’m wrong. What do you think of our final preseason stock report? Too harsh on some, let others slide? EDTShareTweetShareShareBob Quinn explains why Jahlani Tavai is a ‘rare’ natural fit with Detroit LionsThomas J. Russo-USA TODAY SportsFour years from now, we’re all going to be looking back on the Detroit Lions 2019 draft with a specific focus on one pick. Detroit’s second-round choice of Hawaii linebacker Jahlani Tavai will be the sink-or-swim pick of this class, not only because it was considered a bold choice, but because a second-round pick is serious investment in a player. On Friday night, Lions general manager tried to rationalize the pick to an admittedly surprised media room.“Linebackers that play in this defense that are very, very good natural fits—there’s only a couple every year.” Quinn said. “You wait a year, you don’t get one, you might not get him next year Will Harris Jersey 2019 , you might not get him the year after.”But what makes Jahlani a natural fit in this defense? At the time, Quinn offered a brief explanation, saying Tavai’s thick body type and versatility make him ideal for the scenario, but not much beyond that. However, Quinn went into further detail after the NFL Draft was over during a great interview with DetroitLions.com’s Tori Petry on Saturday night. “I think in college football what’s happening is the faster athletes are getting asked to move to play linebacker, so usually the faster guys are a little bit smaller,” Quinn said. “So, obviously size is a big thing with our linebackers. We like bigger, thicker guys that weigh 240 to 255 pounds. Some of the guys that are a little bit lighter than that, a little bit, let’s say, faster, really don’t have a great role on our base defense. College football is going in the other direction, where it’s smaller, lighter, faster. And I think the NFL is still a big-man’s game, so the bigger linebackers are just harder to find.”It’s no secret that Tavai fits that physical mold:(Note: Coming off a shoulder injury, Tavai did not participate in the NFL Combine or his pro day. He completed these drills at a separate pro day late in the draft process). He’s not that speedy, but that’s not what the Lions are looking for. They want bulk, they want arm length and they want that monster wingspan that Tavai has. “I think his wingspan is as tall, as big as some of the guys who are 6-4, 6-5,” Quinn said. |If I remember correctly, I think he has an 82- or 83-inch wingspan—which is pretty rare for that position.”While many believe the NFL is actually headed in the opposite direction that Quinn claims—where speed and agility are king—there are certainly some examples of the guys Quinn likes succeeding at the next level. Unsurprisingly, the New England Patriots’ defense is littered with players in this mold, and that would explain why they, too, were reportedly interested in Tavai.Obviously these players have slightly better overall athletic scores and in the case of Ninkovich, he comes from an earlier era, but the profile is clear. The Lions want big and long, and that is becoming increasingly rare from the NFL draft class.Did that force the Lions to overdraft a raw prospect? Maybe, but only time will tell if ti was worth it.

Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert is no stranger to serious injuries Deshaun Davis Jersey Mens , so he had some experience to fall back on when he suffered another one on Sunday. The team has not made anything official, but the first word on the injury was that Eifert broke his ankle in the win over the Falcons and will miss the rest of the season. Eifert appeared to confirm that timeline in a statement posted to Twitter on Sunday evening.“This was the hardest I鈥檝e worked to put myself in a position to help this team succeed and having this happen crushes me,” Eifert wrote. “If I鈥檝e learned anything from before, it鈥檚 not a time for self pity and negativity. The only thing to do is move forward with optimism. With the support of my family, friends, trainers, teammates, and coaches Youth Deshaun Davis Jersey , this will soon be another obstacle that was overcome and life will go on. Thanks to eveyone who has sent prayers and well wishes my way!”Eifert barely played the last two seasons because of back injuries, but was back to playing a productive role in Cincinnati’s offense before Sunday’s injury. Officially, Zac Taylor has been the Bengals head coach for nearly two weeks. Unofficially, it’s been a month since they decided he was their guy to replace Marvin Lewis. And Taylor is exactly as close to hiring a defensive coordinator as he was when he was just another assistant who knew Sean McVay.Fletcher Page of the has taken a deep look at the Bengals’ search for a defensive coordinator, which is a more important job considering Taylor has never been a head coach and could use the kind of ballast McVay enjoyed in Wade Phillips. To run down the guys who haven’t taken the job so far takes a minute, so you should probably sit down. And take a deep breath. And grab something to eat.Vance Joseph interviewed for the head coaching job, but when he didn’t get that, signed up quickly with Arizona. Jack Del Rio reportedly wanted the job White Deshaun Davis Jersey , but Taylor didn’t view him as a fit, and Dom Capers talked with the Bengals but that never went anywhere either. Taylor wanted to land Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, but Allen turned him down to stay in New Orleans. Then the search moved to phase two, and it appeared Todd Grantham was the front-runner for the job, but got a raise at Florida and stayed there instead. The Bengals wanted to interview Saints secondary coach Aaron Glenn, but the Saints are blocking that as is their right. That leaves a group including former Falcons coordinator Marquand Manuel and Rams assistant Aubrey Pleasant. Pleasant interviewed this week and worked with Taylor for two years in Los Angeles, but he has no coordinator experience, and just two years in charge of a position. Manuel was fired after two years as coordinator in Atlanta. The bigger concern for the Bengals might be the concerns cited by guys who said no thanks. Specifically Tyler Boyd Jersey , Grantham was reportedly worried about their aging front seven, which would have made for a tough transition to a 3-4. And if a guy doesn’t think he can work with what’s on hand, it compromises his future earning potential.Staffs elsewhere around the league are basically finalized, which is what can happen when league rules prohibit teams from formalizing deals with coaches involved in the playoffs. That puts Taylor significantly behind, especially in the search for what is probably the most important position to his success or failure as a head coach.

GREEN BAY Raekwon McMillan Jersey , Wis. (AP) — The injury-riddled Miami Dolphins still managed to generate plenty of scoring opportunities against the Green Bay Packers. But they couldn't get into the end zone, and settling for field goals wasn't going to cut it against Aaron Rodgers.Jason Sanders tied a Dolphins franchise rookie record with four field goals, but Miami (5-5) wasted good field position and squandered the game-opening drive after Brock Osweiler fumbled away a shotgun snap in a 31-12 loss at Lambeau Field on Sunday. "Those type of things, you can't do against this guy (Rodgers). You do that, it's just a matter of time before he makes it right," Dolphins coach Adam Gase said.Osweiler Charles Harris Jersey , making his fifth straight start for the injured Ryan Tannehill, was 23 of 37 for 213 yards. He got sacked six times, including three straight plays late in the game. And he accounted for another turnover after throwing an interception to Bashaud Breeland that was returned 26 yards to the Miami 12 with 8:52 left in the third quarter. The Packers cashed in on that turnover too, with Rodgers hitting Davante Adams for a 25-yard touchdown pass for a 16-point lead three plays later."I'm the only guy on the team that touches the ball every play on offense, and I need to find ways to be better and to score touchdowns," Osweiler said. The offense was undermanned Jason Sanders Jersey , though.Starting tackles Laremy Tunsil (knee, ankle) and Ja'Wuan James (knee), along with starting guard Ted Larsen (neck), were inactive. For a while, the Dolphins still moved the ball effectively, especially early in the game.Running back Kenyan Drake had a knee injury in the second quarter. Receivers Davante Parker (shoulder) and Jakeem Grant (leg) got hurt in the third. The offense just stalled in Packers territory."Kicking field goals ain't going to beat the Packers. We have to execute better in the red zone Kalen Ballage Jersey ," guard Jesse Davis said.Miami started one drive at midfield after recovering Tramon Williams‘ fumbled punt return. Another started at the 45 after the defense stopped Green Bay on fourth-and-2.A blocked punt in the third quarter gave the Dolphins the ball at the Packers' 28.Each time, Miami turned its advantageous field position into a field goal."I don't care who's on the field. Every time we touch the ball as an offensive unit, every series I expect to score a touchdown," Osweiler said."Is that going to be possible? Probably not. But that's our expectation as an offense. You know like I said, the blame is on nobody but myself. I need to be better," he added. But he may not have a chance to prove he can do it.Gase and Tannehill hope the starting quarterback can return after the upcoming bye week to play at Indianapolis on Nov. 25.Osweiler said that decision is out of his hands."But I'm going to focus on the things I can control and that's finding a way to get better as an individual Durham Smythe Jersey , as a quarterback," he said. "And then how I can help this offense if my number's called against the Colts."Phinsider Radio: A group therapy session following the Miami Dolphins loss vs. the New England Patriots Things were at an all-time high for the undefeated Dolphins and their fans, as they traveled to Foxborough to take on the 1-2 New England Patriots. But as we would soon see, things were too good to be true, as Adam Gase and his team laid an egg vs the AFC Juggernaut.Join Cannata, Sutton Jerome Baker Jersey , and I as we briefly discuss the Dolphins terrible performance in Foxborough, and what this week’s game vs Cincinnati means for the remainder of the season. Some takeaways:Ryan Tannehill was not good, and the offensive line gave him very little time to dissect the Patriots’ quarter defense. The run game was non-existent as both Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake struggled all day.Xavien Howard had his worst game of the season.Sony Michel and James White gashed the Dolphins run defense.Penalties continued to put the Dolphins in dreadful third down situations.Adam Gase’s play-calling left a lot to be desired and looked polar opposite to the game plan we saw in the first three weeks of the season.Tom Brady and the Patriots will not die.“We’re on to Cincinnati.”

The NFL will play four games in London next season but did not say which would be at Tottenham’s delayed new stadium and which would be at Wembley. The league also said Monday one game will be in Mexico City — Kansas City vs. the Los Angeles Chargers at Azteca Stadium Sam Shields Jersey , which hosted games in 2016 and 2017. The Rams and Kansas City were to have played there Nov. 19 but the game was moved to Los Angeles because of poor field conditions. In London, the NFC champion Los Angeles Rams will play Cincinnati. The other games are Houston-Jacksonville, Carolina-Tampa Bay and Chicago-Oakland. Jacksonville is owned by Shahid Khan, who also owns the Premier League club Fulham. Two games will be at Wembley and two at Tottenham’s new stadium http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-brandin-cooks-jersey , which was to have opened last summer but faced construction delays. The stadium’s opening has been delayed six times. A game between Oakland and Seattle was to have been at Tottenham last Oct. 14 but was moved to Wembley. The NFL has played annually in London since 2007 — 21 games at Wembley, three at Twickenham.Major League Baseball plays its first games in London on June 29-30, when the World Series champion Boston Red Sox host the New York Yankees in a two-game series at London’s Olympic Stadium. The NBA played two games at London’s O2 Arena in 2011 and has had one there each January since 2013. The NHL played two regular-season games at O2 Arena in September 2007. The Saints got a win in Minneapolis on Sunday night and the Rams squeezed past the Packers earlier in the day, so the two teams will bring a combined record of 14-1 into the Superdome for the marquee matchup on next Sunday’s schedule. It’s a big enough game that the Saints didn’t spend much time savoring their victory over the Vikings before talk turned to what’s next on the schedule. Running back Mark Ingram said the Saints have respect for the Rams Womens Brandon Allen Jersey , but that his team isn’t scared of anyone and that it is “tough sledding” for teams visiting New Orleans. While that’s certainly been the case over the years, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins was still focused on the work that the Saints will have to do this week to be ready.“Listen, we’re going to have to grind this tape,” Rankins said http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-ramik-wilson-jersey , via Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. “We played [the Rams] last year, but they’re a whole different animal this year. So it’s definitely going to be our biggest task yet. But we’re confident in the guys we have and it’s going to be a fun battle.”There’s a lot of football to be played, but the Rams-Saints matchup will do a lot to set the stage for the stretch run in the NFC.

Rookie Sam Hubbard was disappointed as Ryan Tannehill slipped past him Mitchell Schwartz Jersey , avoiding a sack. A moment later, the football slipped out of the quarterback's grasp and flew right to Hubbard, who was as surprised as anyone to have it in his hands."All I had to do was run straight," Hubbard said.Straight into the end zone he went on a 19-yard fumble return , yet another wacky play that completed Cincinnati's indescribable comeback. The Bengals scored 27 straight points and rallied for a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday that extended their best start since 2015 鈥?the last time they made the postseason. This one is looking a little more like a playoff team each week."The vibe over here is crazy," running back Joe Mixon said. The Bengals (4-1) appeared headed for a desultory home-field loss as the Dolphins (3-2) 鈥?playing with depleted lines 鈥?rolled ahead 17-0 with the help of Jakeem Grant's 70-yard punt return for a touchdown. The Bengals' defensive line pulled it out with two wacky plays.Tannehill tried to avoid a sack by throwing the ball at his tight end's feet. Instead, it slipped from his hand and caromed off Durham Smythe's helmet, flying directly to Michael Johnson. He ran 22 yards untouched for his first NFL touchdown. The defense closed it out when Carlos Dunlap hit a scrambling Tannehill and the ball flew directly to Hubbard for his quick jaunt to the end zone and a 27-17 lead with 2:37 to go.The Dolphins were dazed."I didn't know what happened," said Tannehill, who had three turnovers. "I heard the crowd cheer and (saw) everyone run away from me, so I knew something bad happened."The win left Cincinnati alone atop the AFC North heading into a rivalry game next Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have won six straight and 14 of 17 in their series. The Dolphins have to recover from a 38-7 drubbing by New England and their meltdown against the Bengals Juan Thornhill Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , with Bears up next. Some takeaways from Paul Brown Stadium:DEFENSE MAKES THE DIFFERENCECincinnati's young defense has given up a lot of yards but made decisive fourth-quarter plays in three of their wins. Safety Clayton Fejedelem returned a fumble for a touchdown to beat Indianapolis, and the Bengals forced a fumble by Joe Flacco that set up their win over the Ravens. On Sunday, they had the two decisive touchdowns."Look at the plays these guys made down the stretch today, and they're rookies," coach Marvin Lewis said.MIXON'S MARKThe Bengals got a break with Mixon, who missed only two games after having a piece of torn cartilage removed from his right knee. With their other veteran running back 鈥?Giovani Bernard 鈥?sidelined with a knee injury, they leaned heavily on Mixon and he came through. Mixon ran 22 times for 93 yards and had three catches, including an 18-yard touchdown.LONG TIMEThe Bengals hadn't been shut out in an opening half and rallied to win since 2004, when they trailed Miami 3-0 at halftime and pulled it out 16-13. It was only the fourth time in franchise history that they scored 24 points in the fourth quarter and won 鈥?they also did it in 1972, 1978 and 2004.RARE COMPANYGrant's 70-yard punt return made him the first Dolphin to score on a reception, a kickoff return and a punt return in the same season. He had a 102-yard kickoff return against Tennessee in the season opener. Grant joins Dante Hall (2003) as the only NFL players with a 100-yard kickoff return, a 70-yard punt return and a 50-yard TD catch in the same season. The last NFL player with a touchdown of all three varieties was the Chiefs' Tyreek Hill in 2016.DEPLETED DOLPHINS' LINEMiami already was missing two starters on the offensive line when left tackle Laremy Tunsil got a concussion early in the fourth quarter. The Dolphins struggled to protect Tannehill the rest of the way Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys 2019 , contributing to the Bengals' surge."Our left tackle wasn't in," coach Adam Gase said. "That kind of can do some damage. And when you get behind, it causes problems." The NFL’s effort to prevent a repeat of the Rams-Saints debacle has created a rule change that will sweep far more broadly than the Rams-Saints situation. And that won’t be good for business.“In my experience, I never thought creating a rule for one play — even as obvious as that play was — you can get bad rules that way,” former NFL senior V.P. of officiating Dean Blandino, now a FOX rules analyst, told Dom Cosentino of Deadspin.com regarding the league’s reaction to the NFC Championship debacle. “Nobody wants to see [that], and everybody wants to fix that. But I feel like, you create a rule to fix that play, and what we’re going to see is a whole bunch of other plays that are going to be impacted, and very few of the plays like what happened in the Rams-Saints game.”Blandino is right, primarily because the new availability of replay review for pass interference calls and non-calls could dramatically change the way a game is officiated in the closing moments of each half Juan Thornhill Jersey Cheap , by at a minimum bogging down those final two minutes with a rash of possible reviews. Then there’s the problem, as previously mentioned, that arises from the replay officials applying different standards to the question of whether sufficiently clear and obvious evidence exists to justify a full replay review by Blandino’s successor, Al Riveron.“You know, one person may look at that and think it’s clear and obvious — another may not,” Blandino told Cosentino regarding the late-game call in the Week 15 Chargers-Chiefs game that, according to Riveron, would have been altered by replay review. “And then once it goes to review, then the standard — they said that it’s ‘clear and obvious,’ but when you start to look at some of the plays they cited … that’s more of a letter-of-the-law standard. And it’s going to be interesting to see if they start overturning or creating fouls based on that standard, when really, on the field Juan Thornhill Jersey Womens , that was never intended to be pass interference.”That’s where the preseason comes in, allowing the league to see how the rule will play out in practice and to, if necessary, make more adjustments based on preseason games.“I don’t think anybody knows exactly how this is going to play out until we start actually playing games,” Blandino said.Again, he’s right. Here’s hoping that, once they start playing games, the league will make any and all necessary adjustments. Otherwise, the league’s 100th season will be remembered for entirely different reasons.

Has league-high 11 interceptions, including two returned for TDs. With this week’s news that Sony Michel did not suffer serious damage to his knee in the team’s week-seven victory in Chicago, the Patriots clearly dodged a major bullet. With the emerging rookie’s status being week-to-week, and the bye week just two games away, the organization isn’t forced to look at acquiring a more long-term depth option at the deadline. With a glass half full perspective, one thing can certainly be gleaned from the current circumstances: Kenjon Barner is better than advertised, and he has an opportunity to carve out a small role for himself beyond Michel’s return with a solid performance during this stretch.Barner — a Chip Kelly product from the University of Oregon — possesses an athleticism not often seen from the Patriots’ depth-option running backs of the past. In the draft process he had better three-cone and vertical jump numbers than James White, and he ran a faster 40-yard dash than White and Sony Michel. His Mockdraftable.com profile draws a strong comparison to Cleveland’s Duke Johnson. After being drafted in the fifth round by Carolina and released after the 2014 season, he reunited with Chip Kelly in 2015 with the Eagles. In fact Color Rush Joejuan Williams Jersey , on 28 carries that season, he led the team in rushing success rate. This season, although the sample size is small so far, he’s been effective when his name has been called.2. Given Barner’s opportunity for an expanded role, it will be interesting to monitor how the Patriots choose to utilize him in regards to personnel packages and formations. Following Sony Michel’s injury last week — and partially due to not having Rob Gronkowski and Jacob Hollister available — the Patriots immediately broke out a brand new personnel package that they hadn’t utilized all year: 20-personnel with two running backs (as opposed to one running back w/ James Develin). As the game progressed and the Patriots built a lead, Barner was used out of more conservative big-personnel looks, but it does leave one to ponder if that immediate reaction of theirs could be small glimpse into a move towards involving Barner with more dynamic personnel groupings. It wouldn’t be a bad idea. Regardless of which running back is carrying the football, and when factoring in sample size, 11-personnel has been far and away New England’s most effective rushing package in terms of rushing success rate. Here’s how it breaks down: 3. Change — the Buffalo Bills’ bread and butter, and the one thing they do with more consistency than just about every other team in football. Outside of Cleveland, you would be hard pressed to find a franchise that has experienced more organizational turnover — from ownership, all the way down to the 53rd man on the roster — than Buffalo has since the current CBA was signed in 2011. In keeping with that tradition — and as pointed out by CLNS Media’s Evan Lazar this week — when journeyman Derek Anderson takes the field on Monday night, he will become the Bills’ 13th quarterback to start against the Patriots this century.Unfortunately for the Bills, in the NFL Youth Joejuan Williams Jersey , nothing is more detrimental to a team’s performance in the win column than change. Obviously no team loves burning through staff while consistently putting out a disappointing on-field product, but the Bills’ inability to put the correct front office personnel and coaches in place — and allowing them to work through their processes — flies in the face of methods proven to sustain organizational success.Consider this: the five teams with the most wins between 2011-2017 are the Patriots (88), Steelers (73), Packers (73), Broncos (72), and Seahawks (72). In those seven seasons, these teams combined for:378 regular season wins.35 wins in 28 trips postseason trips.8 Super Bowl appearances.4 Super Bowl championships.Over that span, each of those organizations saw zero turnover in regards to the lead decision maker with regard to the team’s roster — whether that be a general manager or a head coach with player personnel authority. Of those five teams, the Broncos were the only one to experience turnover at their head coaching position; John Fox after the 2014 season, and Gary Kubiak, who retired due to health reasons following the 2016 season. Also, only twice did any of those teams change offensive coordinators for what they perceived as poor performance; Mike McCoy in Denver in 2016, and Todd Haley in Pittsburgh — whose contract wasn’t renewed following last season. The average seven-year stretch for the five aforementioned franchises includes:75.6 wins.Seven playoff victories in 5.6 postseason trips..8 Super Bowl Championship out of 1.6 appearances. One individual with “final say” on player personnel.1.4 head coaches.2.4 offensive coordinators. The Buffalo Bills over that same seven-year stretch:51 wins.Zero playoff victories, one postseason trip.Three general managers: Buddy Nix Womens Joejuan Williams Jersey , Doug Whaley, and Brandon Beane.Five head coaches (one interim): Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone, Rex Ryan, Anthony Lynn, and Sean McDermott.Five offensive Coordinators: Curtis Modkins, Nathaniel Hackett, Greg Roman, Anthony Lynn (interim), and Rick Dennison. Now in year-two with the Bills organization after lengthy stints in Carolina, head coach Sean McDermott and GM Brandon Beane have brought more sweeping changes to Orchard Park. They began that process last year by trading away names like Cordy Glenn, Reggie Ragland, Sammy Watkins, and Marcell Dareus — all in an effort to institute the ever-popular Authentic Joejuan Williams Jersey , always-clich茅d culture change (ugh, that c-word again). The good news? Moving forward, the Bills will have over $90 million in 2019 cap space and 10 picks in next year’s draft, including the extra fourth and fifth-rounders the acquired via trade for Reggie Ragland and AJ McCarron. The bad news? They chose Josh Allen to be their quarterback of the future. 4. With the Detroit Lions’ acquisition of former New York Giants IDL Damon Harrison this week, it’s interesting to note just how fast sentiment towards teams can shift seemingly overnight. After an 0-2 start that included an embarrassing home blowout loss on national television and a road defeat at the hands of the 49ers the following week, the seat of the Lions’ general manager Bob Quinn — now in his third season on the job — wasn’t as warm as some in the fan base would’ve liked, according to Pride of Detroit’s monthly Bob Quinn Approval Poll. However, following a solid road victory in Miami last weekend that raised the team’s record to 3-3, and with the execution of a trade that will presumably sure up one of the league’s worst run defenses, Quinn — a 16-year member of the Patriots’ scouting department and front office — is now garnering praise from Detroit media. “NFL” apparently stands for “No F–kin’ Loophole.”Per a source with knowledge of the situation Womens Derek Carr Jersey , the NFL decided to require testing of the Schutt AiR Advantage after previously informing the Raiders that, if receiver Antonio Brown could find one less than 10 years old, he could use it. The helmet failed the test.Brown had found several Schutt AiR Advantage helmets that had been made within the last decade, including an AiR Advantage made in 2014 for film. NOCSAE certified one specific helmet, made in 2010, for use. But then the NFL told the Raiders that the helmet would have to be tested before it could be used.Brown’s representatives recently sent the helmet for testing. Earlier today, Brown was informed that the helmet failed the test. The Schutt AiR Advantage was not among 11 models that became prohibited this year. Brown wasn’t able to use the helmet he’s worn his entire NFL career because it’s more than 10 years old, and NOCSAE will not certify any helmet that is more than 10 years old.To summarize: The NFL wins again. That said, the source informed PFT that we haven’t heard the last of Brown on this issue. To find out what that means, refill the tub of popcorn and stay tuned. Another game, another complete disaster by the Raiders in London, who frankly should just never go to England to play again. This was just as bad as the debacle a few years ago that got Dennis Allen fired, and if Jon Gruden hadn’t taken the job just this year he should be getting fired too. This was an unacceptable performance in every aspect of the game, and the low point of a season filled with nothing but low points. Let’s look at today’s winners and losers, keeping in mind that the Great Beyond is an honorary winner for correctly predicting the Seahawks to score 27 points, though he gave the Raiders far too much credit.WINNERS1) Russell WilsonAs usual, Wilson was basically Seattle’s entire offense today. He went 17/23 for 222 yards, three touchdown passes and a quarterback rating of 125.4. The Raiders tried to bring pressure, but Wilson was much too mobile and aware for that. He makes his living running for his life, and burned the Raiders for a long touchdown pass while dancing around would-be sackers in the first half. Yet another masterful performance from Seattle’s best player.2) Arden KeyMany of the Raiders players competed with no heart today, but Key wasn’t one of them. He had Oakland’s only sack on the day and had four tackles Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , one for a loss, and two quarterback hits. He definitely could use some more pass rush talent around him, but Key has the look of a guy who will develop into a fine pass rusher off the edge.3) Frank ClarkClark had character concerns coming out of Michigan in 2015, as he’d been dismissed from the Wolverines after being arrested for domestic violence. But since then he’s been an absolute stud on the Seattle defensive line. He kept up his strong play today with 2.5 sacks and three QB hits, and was basically in Derek Carr’s face on every play. Kolton Miller was clearly ailing with a leg injury, and Clark ate him for lunch.4) Jalen RichardIt’s clear by now that Richard isn’t going to get many carries this season. The Raiders try to force Marshawn Lynch early, and by the time it’s Richard’s turn to get some snaps, the Raiders are so far behind that they have to abandon the run. So Richard is making his living being a receiving back, and excelling at that. Today he caught seven balls for 48 yards and, sadly enough, was the Raiders’ leading receiver. With Carr under pressure all game he often went to his safety valve, and Richard did the best he could with that.LOSERS1) Jon GrudenYeah, I know they played in London and that sucks. Yeah, I know the offensive line is basically non-existent. I get all that. But this did not look like a team that was ready to compete, or play, or do anything more than go down to the Winchester and wait for this whole thing to blow over.Jon Gruden has tried to reshape this team since taking over, but he’s done nothing but destroy it so far. The Raiders look worse than last year, and are probably the worst team in football right now. They would lose to the Bills, the Cardinals, Alabama, the UC Davis women’s volleyball team and the Racing Sausages from Milwaukee’s Miller Park.Perhaps Gruden has some kind of coherent long-term plan. Reggie McKenzie’s first few years were painful too. But the Raiders have been doing this for over 15 years. Even if Gruden’s master plan comes to fruition Antonio Brown Jersey White , will he have any fans left by that point? How can he realistically keep his job that long at this rate?2) Raiders offensive lineI haven’t seen people get dominated this completely since I watched 50 Shades of Grey one night on HBO. The line couldn’t get any push in the run game and gave up pressure on almost every single pass play, allowing six sacks on Derek Carr. It’s frankly a miracle Carr was able to throw for over a hundred yards given what he was dealing with. The one time Carr threw a great pass for a long gain, it was negated by a holding penalty by Jon Feliciano. This line is a MASH unit right now with Donald Penn and Kelechi Osemele out, and Kolton Miller playing through injury, but this level of play is unacceptable for an NFL offensive line.3) The refsThe NFL wants to continue to expand its brand in Europe, and one of the best ways to make sure that doesn’t happen is by showing the people of London a penalty-ridden slogfest like what we saw today. The game had 13 total penalties, of which the Raiders were miraculously responsible for only five. But the most egregious flag was one that wasn’t thrown, on a helmet-to-helmet collision that knocked Amari Cooper from the game. In a year when the emphasis is supposed to be on limiting head injuries, one of the Raiders’ best players suffered one with no penalty assessed on the field. Way to go, NFL.4) Raider NationWe are a proud people, and nobody should ever feel sorry for us. We have chosen this existence, and many of us deserve it. But we were sold a bill of goods this year, thinking it would be different. It’s not. It’s more of the same, possibly even worse, and this front office is actively hamstringing this team with baffling moves seemingly every week. We sit and watch every game, because we love the team. And, like a wayward child, we will always love them even when we don’t like them. But it really, really sucks to be us right now. Until next spring when we have the first overall pick.

There’s not a list to put him on Theo Riddick Jersey , but Lions coach Matt Patricia isn’t physically ready for training camp.Via Dave Birkett of the , Patricia was on a scooter early Thursday after having surgery on his left foot recently.“Really just there’s very few times during the year where we have an opportunity to go in and kind of get things done so just pretty much been dealing with a little bit of a lower leg issue and a muscle thing, bone thing for a while,” Patricia said. “So kind of had that cleaned up. Just trying to stay off it here for a couple days, so day by day and we’ll go from there.”Patricia was wearing a cast, and when they took the practice field later in the morning, he was on a golf cart.“I’m really trying to be careful with it so that I don’t have any setbacks from that standpoint,” he said. “So probably a little bit overcautious Tavon Wilson Jersey , when I can be, as opposed to, it’s a long season.”That means half of the NFC North’s coaches are limited in terms of mobility, after Packers coach Matt LaFleur tore his Achilles playing basketball this offseason. Everybody loves a trade down, but a true hero trades down twice."What’s better than a trade down in the NFL Draft? Two trade downs! That’s exactly what Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network proposed for the Detroit Lions in the site’s final mock draft of the season, released on Wednesday. First, the Lions traded down with the Bengals so that Cincinnati could grab the third quarterback off the board (Dwayne Haskins). Sitting at 11, the Lions then traded down again Matt Prater Jersey , this time with the ever-popular prediction of swapping picks with the Falcons at 14. Atlanta gets their guy in Ed Oliver, and the Lions still somehow manage to grab Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson.Unfortunately, Solak doesn’t provide trade terms in his mock, so let’s break down what exactly that may look like. A trade from eight to 11 is about the equivalent of a mid-to-late third-round pick. The Bengals only have a high third-round pick (72 overall), so let’s say Detroit picks that up, but sends their fourth (111) to Cincy, as well. Dropping 11 to 14 requires identical compensation. Atlanta has a pick towards the middle of the third round (79), but that Sam Martin Jersey , too, would like require a little more kickback for that pick. The Lions’ fifth and first sixth-round pick should do it. So in this scenario, here’s what the haul would look like:Lions lose:2019 first-round pick (8)2019 fourth-round pick (111)2019 fifth-round pick (146)One 2019 sixth-round pick (184)Lions get:T.J. HockensonBengals’ 2019 third-round pick (72)Falcons’ 2019 third-round pick (79)They would have the following picks following the selection of Hockenson: Second round (43)Third round (72)Third round (79)Third round (88)Sixth round (204)Seventh round (224)Seventh round (229)Would you pull the trigger? Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett is in Nashville talking to some members of the 2019 NFL Draft class. Birkett had an interesting conversation with Michigan linebacker Devin Bush, who said the Lions view him as a middle linebacker, should Detroit go in that direction. Birkett discusses what that means for Jarrad Davis.Kelly Stafford was back in the hospital on Wednesday, as she tries to cope with the pain of her brain surgery last week: Da’Shawn Hand and Zach Zenner talked about their very different draft day experiences on the latest episode of Tori Petry’s podcast. Another day, another NFL insider hearing rumors that the Lions may take a quarterback early in this year’s draft: The Detroit News’ Justin Rogers had an interesting conversation with former Lions coach Wayne Fontes about their decision to draft Barry Sanders 30 years ago. Happy Draft Eve! Here are a couple of normies trying to run the 20/40-yard dash:
